Buckingham Palace
The official London residence of the Queen Elizabeth II, Buckingham Palace is one of London’s most famous buildings, and is recognised worldwide. It was originally built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1705 and called Buckingham House. It became an official royal palace in 1837 with the accession of Queen Victoria. Around 50,000 visitors come to garden parties, state banquets and other events each year. In 2009 I was there for the launch of the new Royal.gov website, as I was the photographer for the 360 virtual tours of Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle.
