Canary Wharf
Canary Wharf is London’s second financial district, located in West India Docks, a few miles from the City of London. Previously at was the world’s larges port, becoming known as ‘Docklands’ from the 1970s onwards. Its skyline has become as iconic as that of the City with many of its skyscrapers featuring in the UK’s tallest list.
Before the completion of the Shard in 2010, One Canada Square in Canary Wharf was the tallest building in the United Kingdom, a title it had held for 20 years. In 2024 it is listed as the third tallest – 22 Bishopsgate beating it to the number 2 position. Home to many major financial institutions Canary Wharf has expanded over the years and is now home to almost 100,00 workers. Many major construction projects are ongoing on the site.
Below, you can see a selection of gigapixel images and 360s featuring this iconic London area.
